Always willing to lend her celebrity for a good cause, and Reese Witherspoon stepped out for 2nd World Conference of Women's Shelters in Washington DC on Tuesday (February 28).

The "This Means War" beauty looked fabulous in a short black belted three-quarter length v-neck dress and heels as she posed for pictures ahead of the 2012 Avon Communications Awards: Speaking Out About Violence Against Women ceremony.

As an ambassador for Avon, Witherspoon is there to present the Breaking Silence award, which is given to an organization that puts out a message encouraging members of its community to speak out against violence toward women.

In other news, during a recent "This Means War" press junket, Witherspoon was asked if she ever juggled two relationships at once like her character in the movie does.

The adorable actress quipped, "I have never dated two people at the same time. I wouldn't know how to keep up with two - I can barely keep up with one!"
