Renee Zellweger Thanks Photog With $100 Coffee Card After Parking Fine Save

March 11, 2010 Renee Zellweger, Forest Whitaker, Chicago, Monica, September

Renee Zellweger certainly knows when to say thanks if the situation calls for it. The Hollywood sweetheart gave a photographer a $100 Starbucks voucher as a thank-you gift after he saved her from getting a parking fine.

The 40-year-old "Chicago" star was getting her caffeine fix in Santa Monica when a paparazzo noticed that her parking meter was about to expire. The unnamed photographer then slid coins in the meter to save the actress from getting a ticket.

Zellweger noticed what the Good Samaritan did, so when she was paying for her coffee, she also asked for the cashier for a $100 voucher, the Daily Mail said.

She then handed the photographer the Starbucks coupon with a handwritten note on the back, saying, "Wow. Thank you so much for the kindness. Warmly, with gratitude. Renee."

Nice to know a big star like the three-time Golden Globe winner knows how to say thanks in a big way.

Zellweger was recently seen in the horror film "Case 39." She will also appear alongside Forest Whitaker in the drama "My Own Love Song," which is slated for a September release.
