Reports Say Liz Hurley's Marriage Under Strain

March 16, 2009

Liz Hurley's marriage is under strain, it has been reported. The model-and-actress' husband Arun Nayar - who she wed two years ago - is reportedly becoming increasingly frustrated with her refusal to compromise on any joint decisions.

A source said: "She's more like a boss than a wife. Arun often feels like rather than being in first flush of love, he is stuck with a wife who can be cold, pushy and bossy."

Indian textile heir Arun is said to be particularly annoyed with her decision to start an organic farm and allow the venture to be filmed for a reality TV show.

The source added to the MailOnline website: "Arun is from a moneyed background. He sees the idea of a reality show about her organic farm business as rather unpleasant."

Arun is also bored of Liz's glamorous lifestyle - he reportedly finds her love of parties and networking "tedious."

Liz's continuing close friendship with her ex-boyfriend Hugh Grant, 48, is also said to be causing friction.

Liz, 43, and Hugh enjoyed a holiday together with Liz's six-year-old son Damian - her child with ex-partner Steve Bing - in Mustique last December, with Arun arriving a few days later due to work commitments.

Liz and Arun's wedding is rumored to have cost $4 million. The celebrations lasted for a week, with a host of celebrities including Sir Elton John, David Furnish, Elle MacPherson and Donatella Versace attending.
