Residents not keen on renaming street where Paul Walker Died after him and Rodas

December 23, 2013 Paul Walker

Paul Walkers death has hardly sunk in, in our minds but some or the other news keeps cropping up even now. This time, a group of fans of the ‘Fast and Furious’ franchisee star have come up with a petition to change the name of the street as “Walker Rodas Memorial Park”, in memory of the deceased star and his business partner / friend Roger Rodas.

The duo died in a freak car accident on Nov 30th in Santa Clarita and as a tribute to them, fans have suggested re-naming the street to the city council. This online petition has garnered more than 2000 votes already and they are still counting; however, most of the residents of the area are not too keen on renaming the street. As per them Paul Walker or Roger Rodas did no service for the community to qualify for the honor.

As per city councilman TimBen Boydston, the only factor that can influence to bring about the change is the support of the community and without that, he will not be able to make any decision on the same. So as of now, it seems like a farfetched dream for the fans of the star.
