Los Angeles, CA, United States (Celebrity News Service) - Rihanna doesn't want to parent your kids. That's at least what she's telling the Parents Television Council and other critics of her new "Man Down" music video.

"I'm a 23 year old rockstar with NO KIDS! What's up with everybody wantin me to be a parent?" Rihanna said in a tweet. "I'm just a girl, I can only be your/our voice!"

The tweet comes after the PTC criticized Rihanna for her new clip, where she's shown gunning down a man who raped her, and at BET for airing it.

"If Chris Brown shot a woman in his new video and BET premiered it, the world would stop," the group said in their posting. "Rihanna should not get a pass."

"U can't hide your kids from society, or they'll never learn how to adapt! This is the REAL WORLD!" Rihanna wrote.

"The music industry isn't exactly Parents R Us! We have the freedom to make art, LET US!" she continued. "Its your job to make sure they dont turn out like US."

BET has continued to air the video following the criticism, but its yet to premiere on MTV. According to TMZ, the network said they're still "reviewing the video" and have not set an air date.
