Robin Williams' Daughter Insists There's No Drama In Family

April 28, 2008

Despite her parents' ongoing divorce process, Robin Williams' daughter insists there's no drama in the family as they are all aware that the split is going to happen.

Zelda, 18, tells People magazine, "It wasn't a complete surprise. It's never easy to end. [But] there's no bitterness- we're all a family."

The comedian married his son's nanny, Marsha Garces, on April 30, 1989. However, in March this year, Garces has filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences.

The couple has another son together, 16-year-old Cody. Williams also has another son, 25-year-old Zachary, from his first marriage to Valerie Velardi.

Zelda, who made her acting debut in the 2004 film "House of D," says the whole family knows about the divorce even before it became public and that her parents gave them a warning before filing.

She continues, "I just want my parents to be happy. And they did last 18 years - a lot longer than most!"
