Ronnie Wood, 62, Feels Like A Permanent Teenager

October 5, 2009

Ronnie Wood is a "permanent teenager." The 62-year-old guitarist - who left his wife of 23 years Jo Wood for 20-year-old Russian waitress Ekaterina Ivanova last year - doesn't feel his age, claiming he actually feels younger as time goes on.

He said: "What can I say? I'm a permanent teenager. The older I get, the younger I get."

"Me and Ekaterina, it's been this great adventure and I'm having fun. It's a new life for me, I'm in a different place to where I was 30 years ago, and Jo and me, we just moved on. She's gone her way, I've gone mine."

Ronnie has struggled with an addiction to alcohol - he sought treatment in rehab last year - and admits he finds it hard to stay away from drink.

He explained to Britain's Style magazine: "I tried to have a drink, but I can't find a balance. When I do, I change, and the older I get, the worse I get. I suppose once you accept the fact it's never going to go away, then it's easier to live with, but a lack of self-esteem, that's always been my biggest problem."
