Ryan O'Neal's Son Redmond Ordered To Attend Rehab

October 9, 2008

Ryan O'Neal's son Redmond has been ordered to attend a rehab facility following his arrest along with his dad last month on suspicion of drug possession.

Redmond, 23, was ordered into a two-week treatment program on Wednesday upon admitting that he had relapsed on his drug probation.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Scott Millington told him, "You're a stand-up guy to come here and deal with your problem. I want you to stay clean... You better stay clear or the hammer is going to fall."

Redmond and his 67-year-old actor dad have not been criminally charged in connection with their September arrest at Ryan's house in Malibu during a routing probation check for Redmond. Officers were said to have found methamphetamine in Redmond's possession as well as in his Ryan's bedroom.

Redmond - whose mother is the iconic Farah Fawcett - was about two months into his three-year probation sentence for DUI and heroin and meth possession during his arrest.
