Selena Gomez wears a brave face as she receives the Independent Spirit Award

She gave an emotional speech after accepting the award thanking the organizers for considering her. She said “I am so honored to be in a room full of women that I can only aspire to be as good as they are one day.

“I just want to share to all girls out there that you have a voice,you have a chance to do what you love whether that is acting or singing, and just being true to who you are”.

The singer earlier in the evening put on a brave smile as she posed for photos alone outside the red carpet outside Carnegie Hall in New York City. She wore a white lacy dress with a deep V-neck and matching pumps.

Justin on the other side is busy concentrating on his tour and because of the schedule, he was unable to attend MTV Europe Music Awards other the weekend despite having been one of the big winners.
