David Duchovny and Tea Leoni have sparked rumors they have reunited after they were spotted "holding hands."

The estranged married couple - who announced their separation in October, following David's trip to rehab to seek treatment for his sex addiction - took their two children, nine-year-old Madelaine and six-year-old Kyd trick-or-treating for Halloween in New York on Friday.

A source told the New York Post newspaper: "David and Tea were very cute and were holding hands. They looked very mellow and relaxed as they chatted with friends."

After announcing their split, it was rumored Tea was romantically involved with her "Manure" co-star Billy Bob Thornton.

It was alleged the 42-year-old actress had received a series of explicit text messages on her mobile phone from the 53-year-old actor.

Tea then added to rumors she was dating Billy Bob after admitting she got very close to the star on the set of their new film.

Both Tea and Billy Bob vehemently denied they were in a relationship.
