Shaha Mishaal Adham, Suspect In The Death Of Mark Ruffalo's Brother, Released Without Charge

December 10, 2008

The suspect charged in connection with the death of Mark Ruffalo's brother has been released without charge. Shaha Mishaal Adham was cleared of any wrongdoing in the shooting of Scott Ruffalo, after reportedly producing evidence to prove she was not responsible for his injuries.

Her attorney, Ronald Richards, says he presented evidence during a five-hour meeting Tuesday to prove his client had not killed her friend, though she was present when he died after visiting his home to retrieve her car keys.

Shaha was released around midnight last night after voluntarily giving herself up to police on Monday. A warrant for her arrest on attempted murder charges was issued shortly before the victim died on Monday evening.

Scott was found at his Beverly Hills home with a gunshot wound to his head on December 1.

Richards claims Scott died following a game of Russian Roulette, and his client had made the mistake of "not staying at the scene of the shooting."

He added: "This caused an incredible chain reaction of stupidity and bad luck that had led to her detainment."
