Sharon Osbourne Apologizes For Hitting Susan Boyle With "Ugly Stick"

Sharon Osbourne has apologized for making unkind remarks about "Britain's Got Talent" finalist Susan Boyle. Ozzy Osbourne's wife called the Web sensation a "hairy a**hole" on Sirius XM's "The Opie & Anthony Show."

While Osbourne said she thinks Boyle is a "lovely lady," she also thinks the Scottish singer got hit with an "ugly stick."

She told the radio show hosts, "I like everybody to do well. Even somebody that looks like a slapped a***… God bless her. It's like, 'You go girl.' She does look like a hairy a**hole."

The clip was posted on YouTube and angered Boyle's followers.

But the former "The X Factor" judge seems to backtrack on her unfiltered rant about Boyle.

Osbourne wrote on her Facebook account, "Susan Boyle is a lovely gracious woman and I took advantage of that by poking fun at her. I would never want to be responsible for hurting Susan and I must apologize for getting a cheap laugh at her expense."

Boyle became an Internet sensation when her audition clip from "Britain's Got Talent" was watched by millions of online viewers. People became fascinated on the contrast between her powerful voice and her plain middle-aged appearance on stage. She sang "I Dreamed a Dream" from "Les Miserables."
