Simon Cowell Buys Mansion For Ex-Girlfriend

Simon Cowell has bought a $5 million mansion for his ex-girlfriend Terri Seymour.

Cowell, who recently split from the 33-year-old TV presenter after five years together, has reportedly splashed out on a property for her in Hollywood, California.

A close friend of Simon's said: "It certainly ensured they parted amicably."

While the music mogul is still said to be on friendly terms with Terri, his publicist had denied he bought the house outright for her.

Simon's spokesperson, PR guru Max Clifford, said: "Whether Simon helped or not, he more than likely did. He's extremely wealthy and extremely generous, so it's reasonable to assume that he did help. It wasn't a parting gift or anything like that."

In April, it was claimed Simon and Terri's relationship was at breaking point due to Simon's reluctance to settle down and start a family.

The source said: "Terri is worn down by Simon's attitude towards their future life together. She also feels upset and humiliated every time Simon speaks about his unwillingness to get married or have kids."

Simon, 48, is best known for his role as judge in reality TV talent shows 'Pop Idol' and 'American Idol.'
