Singer Will Young Wants To Settle Down And Raise A Family

September 12, 2008

Will Young wants to have a child. The gay singer says he dreams of settling down to raise a family, but admits it won't happen in the near future because he has split from his partner Conor.

He said: "I would love to be a parent one day. Obviously it won't be soon because I am still single. But having a family and bringing up children is something I've thought about a lot recently."

"Gay marriage and civil partnership is a great thing. It means more rights for same-sex couples."

"It is safer and there are relationships now that provide a perfect set-up for bringing up children."

As well as his family plans, Will - who has also acted in play "The Vortex" and movie "Mrs. Henderson Presents" - is planning to launch his own clothing line.

He added told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "One thing I am keen on is launching my own range of really simple suits. High Street prices, but classic, simple styles. I think there is a gap in the market. I would only want to bring out four with some simple ties but I think it could do well."

Will releases his new single "Changes" digitally next week and in stores on September 22.
