Spears To Head On Vacation With Mel Gibson And Family |

Rumor is that Britney Spears and her father have accepted an invitation to join Mel Gibson and his family during their vacation to their Costa Rican home. The Toxic singer and her father Jamie are reported to be heading to Central America with former neighbors Gibson and his wife Robyn. Spears has reportedly become close with Gibson and his wife since her hospitalization in February. A source tells America's People magazine, "They're just going away for a few days to relax." The source continues saying, "Mel and his wife Robyn clearly saw a woman in crisis and wanted to extend themselves in any way possible. There are no expectations, there is no agenda. It's simply an act of human kindness - one neighbor reaching out to the other." This is not the first time that Gibson and his wife have tried to come to the rescue of a young star. In early 2008, Gibson dined with Lindsay Lohan and reportedly tried to offer her advice about dealing with the media. |
