Sugababes Singer Turns To Take That Take For Comfort

March 18, 2008

Sugababe Amelle Berrabah was comforted by Take That after her boyfriend was attacked with a machete.

The 23-year-old singer - who was left devastated after lover Freddie Fuller was hospitalized in December - turned to the boys for a shoulder to cry on when she joined them for a New Year's Eve performance at London's 02 arena.

Amelle said: "I was really nervous and had loads of stuff going around in my head."

"But Take That are such a lovely bunch of guys and we had a really nice chat. Jason Orange, bless him, was asking about Freddie and sent his love."

"They were so supportive. I love performing and when you're on stage you just switch off. I had a great time."

"After the show I went straight over to see Freddie and told him all about it."

Amelle says she and Freddie are trying to put the terrifying episode behind them and move on with their lives.

She added to Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "I was like a worried mother. When I wasn't with Freddie I was ringing him up asking if he had taken his medication. Now he's fine and doing so much better. We're ready to move on to a new place and everything is cool."

Freddie, 25, almost lost his arm and leg during the horrific machete attack on Christmas Eve, which occurred while the couple were on a festive pub crawl.
