Supermodel Gisele Bundchen Says Breastfeeding Should Be Made A Law

Supermodel Gisele Bundchen loved breastfeeding her infant son so much, she is now suggesting that it should be made into a law for mothers to do the same for at least the first six months of the child's life.

The Victoria Secret model recently told Harper's Bazaar magazine: "I think breastfeeding really helped (me keep my figure). Some people (here in the U.S.) think they don't have to breastfeed, and I think 'Are you going to give chemical food to your child when they are so little?'"

"I think there should be a worldwide law, in my opinion, that mothers should breastfeed their babies for six months," Bundchen adds.

The catwalk star has a son, Benjamin Rein, with NFL player Tom Brady. Bundchen has also previously claimed that her eight hour labor was "painless" and made pancakes for breakfast the day after her son was born.

The leggy Brazilian's controversial statement has mothers from around the world up in arms for her comments. Although there are women who choose not to breastfeed their children, there are mothers that are unable to nurse their newborns for medical reasons as well.

These women feel that Bundchen's suggestion to make breastfeeding a law as unfair while others simply see it as the supermodel expressing her opinion.
