Taylor Lautner Wasn't Sure "Twilight" Movies Would Be Successful

November 24, 2009

Taylor Lautner is now the eye of millions of teenage girls across the world thanks to the success of "Twilight" and "New Moon," but he wasn't always sure that the movies would be a great success.

Hollyscoop spoke with Alex Mraz, who also plays one of the werewolves in the movie franchise, on the red carpet at the American Music Awards. When asked about his reaction to "New Moon" being the third highest opening in film history, he said, "It's great and fantastic that it's doing so well."

"I am just glad that fans have been coming in droves to watch it. Also, the fact that there are newer fans that are coming to watch it. I mean the numbers speak for itself."

Alex also mentioned a conversation he had recently with Lautner. He explained saying, "We were like 'We don't know if it's going to be this big,' just because we knew Twilight fans watched it over and over again. So we're like, 'I don't know if their gonna do that again.' To see these numbers I am like cool, we're alright."
