Taylor Swift has donated her prom dress to charity. The country singer gave away her long cream and gold Jessica McClintock gown, to Hearst Magazines' DonateMyDress.org. DonateMyDress.org is a national network that brings together local dress drive organizations to help girls get their dream dresses for their big night. "I chose to give away this prom dress because I wore it once and loved it!" Contactmusic quoted "The Love Story" singer as saying. "I want another girl somewhere to feel good in it and have a great prom night because of this dress," she added. Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Nikki Blonsky, Eva Amurri and Ashley Greene also donated their dresses to be auctioned off. Swift's gown fetched a whopping $1,200 at the charity auction. The artist is all set to launch her first national headlining tour on April 23 in Evansville, Ind. |
