Taylor Swift kicks off "Speak Now World Tour" in Singapore

February 10, 2011 Taylor Swift, Asia, Heart

If music sensation Taylor Swift wants to say "I love you" to her fans in Singapore, she doesn't need to learn Mandarin to do it. She just flashes a perfectly shaped heart with her fingers _ and they get it.

The Grammy Award winner did just that and a lot more as she kicked off her "Speak Now World Tour" Wednesday with a sold-out show at Singapore's Indoor Stadium.

For almost two hours, Swift performed a slew of her hit songs on two different stages, playing several different acoustic and electric guitars, the piano and the ukulele.

Swift captivated the crowd, who many had camped out the day before, with songs from her triple-platinum "Speak Now" album and also with several favorites from her previous albums.

After the show, the singer tweeted: "THAT SHOW RULED!! Thank you Singapore. My band and I love you. And your dancing and jumping and singing and screaming! Good times."

Next stop on the tour: Seoul, South Korea on Feb. 11. Swift will then make her way through several countries in Asia and Europe.

The North American leg of her tour will kick off in May, which stadium shows in Boston, Philadelphia and Detroit have already sold out.
