Tea Leoni has pulled out of her scheduled appearance at the Toronto International Film Festival.

The cancellation, confirmed by Tea's representative, comes after Tea's husband David Duchovny - with who she has two children - checked into a rehabilitation center to receive treatment for his sex addiction.

The 42-year-old actress had been set to attend the annual event to promote her new movie "Ghost Town," in which she stars alongside Ricky Gervais and Greg Kinnear.

Last week, David revealed he was seeking help for his addiction, releasing a statement reading: "I have voluntarily entered a facility for the treatment of sex addiction. I ask for respect and privacy for my wife and children as we deal with this situation as a family."

The 48-year-old actor - who previously denied being a sex addict - finished filming the second season of his hit U.S. TV show "Californication," in which as he stars as a womanizer, last month.

A representative from U.S. TV network Showtime, who broadcast the show, said: "All of us at Showtime wish David and his family the best during this very private time."
