Tennis Instructor Denies Having An Affair With David Duchovny

October 21, 2008

David Duchovny's tennis instructor Edit Parkay says she is not to blame for the breakdown of his marriage to Tea Leoni.

Edit - who was quoted in a recent interview as saying she was "not going to deny" reports she had an affair with "The X-Files" star - insists "there is no romance" between her and the 48-year-old actor.

The 28-year-old coach said: "We played tennis, and we were playing partners and friends. There is no romance, and we are just friends. No love, nothing. That is all I have to say."

David's lawyer Stanton Stein added: "Edit Parkay met with me personally before this article came out and told me she never had a sexual or romantic relationship with David."

It was recently reported Tea - who has two children with David, from who she has been separated for "several months" - had been having an affair with her "Manure" co-star Billy Bob Thornton, and had been sending him a series of flirtatious text messages.

Tea further fueled relationship rumors by praising Billy, saying: "We have this incredible cast with Billy Bob Thornton, who is maybe my new favorite person in the world."

However, Billy Bob has since denied the reports, with his representative insisting: "Billy and Tea are friends. They recently completed shooting a film together."
