The Group Girls Aloud Are Taking A Break To Pursue Individual Interests

April 27, 2009

Girls Aloud are taking a year off to pursue solo careers. Sarah Harding has confirmed the group will go their separate ways when their current 'Out Of Control' tour finishes in June, but will reunite next year to record another three albums.

The blond beauty said, "We're all doing different things this year. I've already done some acting and the director has asked me to work with him again."

She continued by saying, "I'm hyper so I love having a few things on the go at the same time. But we're not splitting up!"

Fellow band members Cheryl Cole - who has been voted the sexiest woman in the world by FHM magazine - and Nadine Coyle are planning to hit the studio to record solo albums, while Kimberley Walsh has signed up for acting lessons. Nicola Roberts will focus on her beauty company Dainty Dolly and writing music.

But before they can start thinking about their solo ventures, the girls must complete their sold-out U.K. tour, which kicked off at Manchester's MEN Arena on on Friday. The show is the group's sexiest yet, featuring revealing costumes and an erotic pole dancing scene.
