The Sugababes Come Under Fire After Posting A Web Ad For Dancers But Refusing To Pay Them

The Sugababes are reportedly refusing to pay dancers for appearing in their new video.

Partizan, makers of the promo for the band's new single "Girls," have come under fire after posting an internet advert asking for performers, but saying they will only receive food and a chance to meet the trio - Heidi Range, Keisha Buchanan and Amelle Berrabah - for working a 16-hour day.

The advert, posted on social networking website Facebook, read: "We're on the lookout for 18-30 year old guys and girls to come and take part. You should be cool with your own urban style, be able to dance and ready to have a party with the Sugababes. You'll need to be available from 8 a.m. until midnight. While we cannot pay you for taking part, we can feed you."

The conditions have stunned dancers, with one saying: "They should be embarrassed to ask professional dancers to do the shoot and travel there for a full day's work unpaid, especially for a pop group like the Sugababes."

However, a spokesperson for the group has hit back, insisting they were not looking for professionals to take part.

The representative said: "No professional dancers are being asked to do anything for free. This is an opportunity for people who don't dance for a living, but fancy their chances."
