"Hung" star Thomas Jane has been praised for "seeing the light" in India's value system. Hindu statesman Rajan Zed lauded the actor for his belief and offered him assistance in his spiritual quest if he asked.
The 40-year-old actor's first film was in the Telugu Indian film "Padamati Sandhya Ragam" in 1986, which tells the story of an Indian girl who falls in love with an American. He spent about five months filming the movie, saying it was a "phenomenal experience."
Jane was quoted saying that he loves the way they make movies in the Asian country. India has opened his eyes to the world in a way no other experience could have. He also said that the nation has values that are less on the material things and more on the spirituals things of life and that India gave him a perspective that material things are not everything.
Zed applauded the actor for finding new life perspective in India. He also offered Jane further study on the rich philosophical thought which Hinduism offers.
He said that if Jane should ask for it, he or other Hindu scholars would gladly assist him in his spiritual quest.
