Tiger Woods Broke Up With High School Girlfriend Through Letter

Tiger Woods broke up with his high school girlfriend through a letter. Dina Parr, who used to date the 33-year-old athlete during his schooldays, claims Woods dumped her through a handwritten letter.

Parr was the controversial golfer's girlfriend when he was a junior in high school until he was a freshman at Stanford University in 1995.

She said after Woods sent her the offending letter, he wrote a card afterwards apologizing for what he had done. She has shown both the letter and the card to E! News.

The letter reads: "The reason for writing this letter is to inform you of my absolute anger and disappointment in you. Today I heard from my parents that you were telling everyone in the gallery who would listen that you were, 'Tiger's girlfriend.'"

"Then you have the nerve to tell me in the clubhouse when a reporter ask [sic] who you were, you responded with 'Just a friend.'"

"My parents, Royce, Louisa, and myself never want to talk or hear from you again."

He added that he felt used and manipulated by Parr and her family. And though he knew Parr would think the break-up was sudden, it was in his opinion that it was "much warranted."

He closed the letter with "Sincerely, Tiger," though he also asked that she return the necklace that he gave her by mail, and that she should not show up at the tournament the next day because she was just not welcome.

After making his high school sweetheart cry for two days, Woods followed the letter up five or six months later with a holiday card, saying he is "truly sorry" for what he had done.

He said, "I know that was not the way it should have ended, for that I am truly sorry. I really hope you have moved on, and found someone who will make you happy in every way because you certainly deserve. [sic]"
