1. Django Unchained

This is another hit by the writer/director, Quentin Torentino. It stars Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz and Leonardo DiCaprio. Itís a story of a slave (Jamie Foxx) who turned into a bounty hunter who, with the help of his mentor (Dr. King Shultz played by Christoph Waltz), sets out on a journey to rescue his beloved wife from a brutal plantation owner back in Mississippi.

2. Kick Ass 2

After the insane response of viewers for the first movie, Kick Ass 2 is a promising sequel to it. Director Jeff Wadlow definitely knew how to get the audience with this film that includes ChloŽ Grace Moretz, Nicholas Cages, Jim Carrey, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and John Leguizamo to name a few. This tells of a story of how common people join a group inspired to fight crime in costume while the Red Mist, the movieís antagonist, plots another act of revenge to our superheroes.

3. Iron Man 3

Tony Starks (Robert Downey Jr.) is ready for yet again another adventure. He will definitely be using his ingenuity to fight anyone who intends on doing crimes. This sequel will be featuring his most powerful enemy: The Mandarin (played by Ben Kingsley. The star studded cast includes Guy Pearce, Gwyneth Paltrow as the amazing Pepper Potts, Paul Bettany as Jarvisís voice, Rebecca Hall, William Sadler, and Don Cheadle to play the War Machine to name a few.

4. Thor: The Dark World

This is the new installment of the Thor franchise will be featuring Thor as he battles an ancient race, the Dark Elves, led by Malekith. The Dark Elves are threatening to plunge the universe back into darkness right after the events that transpired during the last movie of the Avengers. Director, Alan Taylor and writers did a great story for the outstanding cast that includes Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Natalie Portman, Christopher Eccleston, the latest addition to the cast, Zachary Levi as Fandral and so much more!

5. The Wolverine

Hugh Jackman is back as The Wolverine but this time around heís turning Japanese! This film is directed by James Mangold and features Wolverineís travels in Japan in order to train as a samurai warrior. This is definitely one of the most awaited movies of the year because writers and Jackman say that this will be the most physical and grounded Wolverine movie yet. Since it is shot in Japan we can expect a superhero slash samurai flick!

6. Man of Steel

The Man of Steel is back with a new face since itís now going to be played by, none other than, Henry Cavill. This Zack Snyder film features a reboot of the famous Superman franchise. The main actor boasts that if people in the past thought that the previous films were a bit ďvanillaĒ; this film will be epically cool! The director says that this retells the story with a more serious note for avid fans. So, thatís really something to look forward to!

7. Red 2

Since the first movie was able to haul in a whopping \$199 million back in 2010, the franchise is now growing with a new sequel. The Dean Parisot movie stars Bruce Willis, Anthony Hopkins, Catherine Zeta Jones and Helen Mirren. It features a group of REDs (Retired and Extremely Dangerous to you, that is) If you thought the first one was great wait until you watch this one with an added Hopkins to the cast! Now, thatís a powerful cast!

8. Welcome to the Punch

This is the latest gig for the very handsome James McAvoy. The film is directed by Eran Creevy and stars Mark Strong, David Morrissey and Andrea Riseborough. This is practically Londonís answer to Heat, it had a great cast and a thrills equivalent to that of US flicks. James McAvoy stars as a notorious criminal who is forced to go back to London and take down his arch-nemes

9. The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby

This is a Ned Benson film starring James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain, Ciaran Hinds and William Hurt. Itís practically a story of a couple living in New York as told by the husbandís point of view. Jessica Chastain plays thewife while James McAvoy plays the husband. It showcased a difficult time of their marriage since McAvoy started a business and Chastain goes back to college. Itís just a very fresh take on the indie romance that shows the breakdown of a relationship.

10. World War Z

This is a Marc Foster film that stars Brad Pitt, Matthew Fox, Mireille Enos and David Morse. The Letter Z is for Zombies. A UN employee is racing against time as he goes around the world to stop the dreaded zombie pandemic. Technically, this speaks of the end of the world and zombies. Critics say that this could be the most serious zombie movie in time.
