Since action movies are the ones that can best utilize natural resources, this is the area in which most athletes become successful actors.

10. Gina Carano

Gina Joy Carano was born on April 16, 1982 and is an American actress, television person and retired mixed martial arts fighter. Carano appeared as a "Crush" female gladiator on American Gladiators and was "Face of Women's MMA". Carano was born in Dallas County, Texas and had two sisters. Carano said she also has a small percentage of Italian traits. She graduated from Trinity Christian High School in Las Vegas, Nevada.

As described by Jeremy Clarkson, in his youth, Vinnie Jones, was going to fights and may still erupt a football match while he was sitting there. Vinnie Jones was born in Watford, UK, and its soccer player career began in 1984 at the Wealdstone team. 08. Johnny Weissmuller

Johnny Weissmuller was born in Timisoara, Romania, though later stated that he was born in Windber, Pennsylvania, probably to ensure eligibility as a member of the U.S. Olympic team. Weissmuller was the Olympic champion winning five gold medals. After playing in his first American film in 1929, Weissmuller was seen swimming by Cyril Hume, the one who adapted Tarzan the Ape Man (1932). This is the man who discovered him and suggested to play Tarzan. The film was an immediate success. Seeing his success among girls, the studio advised Weissmuller to divorce bribing him with $10,000. After 1942, the MGM quits the Tarzan series and thus the Weissmuller. But Weissmuller moved to RKO which did six more Tarzan movies then withdraw from the film industry to take care of business in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Jet Li retired from his sport career after winning the national Wu-Shu championship five times. Did I mention something that he retired at the age of 19? And almost immediately he began acting in films. He won the first championship at the age of only 12 years, which Jet Li admits that surprised quite a few people, "The fact that I finished first took a lot of people by surprise because I was so young, and the other medals were over 20 years. During the award ceremony, while sitting on the front step of the podium, I was shorter than the other two medals. Must have been interesting to watch", stated the action movie star Jet Li.

06. Shaquille O'Neal

Shaquille O'Neal is the youngest NBA player to have been included in the list of top 50 players of all time. In 1993 he debuted in the NBA, although he was noted as basketball player even in high school. O'Neal's career in Hollywood is kind of a joke, since his credits include jewelry such as "Kazaa" and "Steel", two films which are pretty bad regarded by moviegoers.

His acting career began when his friend Chuck Norris convinces him to come to Hollywood. After a brief appearance in the "General Hospital" series, Roger Corman, who discovered Jack Nicholson and Robert De Niro, convinces him to sign a contract for seven movies from the "Bloodfist" series followed "Ring of Fire", where he was producer for the first time.

03. Estella Warren

Estella Warren came to the attention of the world along with her role in "Planet of the Apes" but at her home in Canada she was already known as a synchronized swimming national champion. In 1990, at the age of 12, Estella moved to Toronto to train with the national synchronized swimming team Canada. In 1995, she became national champion at 17 years and had the chance to participate in the Olympics next year. She was national champion three times.

In his youth Schwarzenegger's goal was to become the greatest bodybuilder in the world, which meant becoming Mr. Olympia. His first attempt was in 1969, when he lost the championship three times in front of Sergio Oliva. However, Schwarzenegger came back in 1970 and won the competition, becoming the youngest Mr. Olympia at the age of 23, a record it holds today. At the same time started in the world of cinema in "Hercules in New York" (Arnold was only 23 years old at the time). Success came 14 years later with the release of the "Terminator" movie in 1986. In 2003 he was elected governor of California, and in 2006 was re-elected in the same position. He was 7 consecutive times winner of the Mr. Olympia bodybuilding contest.
