As celebrities become mega-famous, they lose some of their touch with what is 'normal'. Sometimes they lose just a little touch - and sometimes a lot. But, stars play by a different set of rules. And one of these different rules is that they are free to name their babies the whackiest, weirdest names imaginable! Here are the top 10!

Gwen Stefani - Zuma Nesta Rock

Lead singer of No Doubt, Gwen Stefani, and Bush frontman, Gavin Rossdale, have never offered an explanation for why their son's name is Zuma Nesta Rock.

One possibility is they named Nesta after Bob Marley's real name. So perhaps the couple were giant fans of the beloved African Herbsman.

Nick Cage - Kal-El

Nick Cage wanted to name his son Kyle; his wife didn't like Kyle. The two struck a very interesting compromise

"[She] wanted something more unusual but beautiful,’” Cage explained to Babble. “Then, I remembered the old Superman comics… I wanted a name that stood for something good, was unique and American. [Kal-El] is all three.

"I just thought it was a beautiful name and it had kind of a magical ring to it.”

Jason Lee - Pilot Inspektor

Jason Lee is a goofball. We've seen his nuttiness on My Name is Earl and in plenty of off-the-wall Kevin Smith flicks. So, does it come as a surprise he'd name his son Pilot Inspektor Riesgraf Lee?

Lee told Entertainment Weekly he gave his son the name after listening to Grandaddy's album, The Sophtware Slump 2000.

“The opening track, ‘He’s Simple, He’s Dumb, He’s the Pilot,’ absolutely blew my mind when I first heard it. It was from this track that my wife, Beth, came up with the name Pilot for our son," he told EW.

Toni Braxton - Denim & Diesel

As for why Toni named her kids after the popular pants and Rudolph Diesel (who invented the diesel engine), she had this to say:

“I think names can define you,” she tells me. “I think it’s important that kids have their own identity, and I think this is a decade of having freedom," Braxton told OK Magazine.

Sylvester Stallone - Sage Moonblood

Sadly, Stallone's son Sage Moonblood died of a drug overdose. The death was an accidental pill overdose much like Heath Ledger's.

“He was in good spirits, and working on all kinds of projects. He was planning on getting married. I am just devastated. He was an extremely wonderful, loving guy. This is a tragedy," George Braunstein, Moonblood's attorney, told the New York Post

Courtney Cox - CoCo

The Friends star had originally planned to name her daughter Courtney Cox Arquette. But, this name conflicted with Jewish law.

Her husband, David Arquette, is half Jewish and did not want to break the Jewish tradition to never name a child after a living person. So 'Coco' was agreed upon.

The name came from a nickname Courtney's childhood friends had for her mother . They called her Mama Coco.

Oddly enough, Courtney Cox's line of lipstick by Cargo is named Cece, which is very close to her daughter's name!

Forest Whitaker - Ocean

Forest is a natural name. Tall trees, offering protection, solace and serenity.

Forest gave his children natural names too, and he explained to Cracked why:

"I want those names to be their destiny, for my daughter to be honest and my son to be expansive. I try to be like a forest, revitalizing and constantly growing."

Lisa Bonet - Nakoa Wolf

Lisa Bonet is best remembered for her role as the oldest sister on the Cosby Shows.

After being on the show, she changed her name to Lilakoi Moon. And the messing with society with odd names didn't stop there.

In 2009 Bonet had a son. She named him Nakoa-Wolf Manakauapo Namakaeha Momoa. When asked about the name's meaning, she replied:

"Nakoa means warrior, mana means strength or spirit, kaua and po mean rain and dark, which was the weather when he was born."

Bono - Memphis Eve

Bono has a flair for being dramatic. So it is no doubt he chose a pretentious name for his offspring.

Bono is always doing things like this, let's not forget how he bought a first class ticket for his hat! It was his 'favorite hat' and he wanted it to arrive by plane before his concert.

Frank Zappa - Moon Unit Zappa & Diva Thin Muffin Pigeen

Frank Zappa is one strange dude. He was also mega-talented. He was an American composer, singer-songwriter, guitarist, recording engineer, and film director.

When Joan Rivers asked him about the strange names, his reply was:

"Consider for a moment any beauty in the name Ralph."
