Zombie movies date back to 1932's White Zombie, though zombies as we know them officially came to life with George A. Romero’s Night of the Living Dead in 1968. The subgenre managed to stay interesting up through the 80s with the Return of the Living Dead franchise, but sort of died off in the 90s. Luckily for us, film makers once again raised the dead when the newmillennium rolled around, and with release after release, it is safe to say that zombies are here to stay.
