"Atlanta" Housewife Kandi Burruss' Fiance Beaten To Death

"Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Kandi Burruss' fiancé has been killed outside an Atlanta strip club. Ashley "A.J." Jewell was fatally beaten during a fight in the parking lot on Saturday.

Jewell, 34, died of massive head injuries at Piedmont Hospital after a one-on-one fight with Fredrick Richardson outside the Body Tap Club, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The suspect was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he will remain until he can be discharged and taken to the Fulton County Jail for voluntary manslaughter.

The cause of their fight is unknown.

Burruss, an award-winning singer/songwriter and former member of the group Xscape, expressed her grief on a Twitter message upon hearing the news. Her relationship with Jewell was closely followed during the second season of the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" as they planned their wedding.
