"Dancing with the Stars" is set to kick off its college competition special. On Tuesday, the show will mark the first of three weeks of the college competition, in which dance teams from two universities will battle each other on the dance floor.

Teams of 8 to 10 members from Purdue University and University of California San Diego will face off on the dance floor when the "Dancing with the Stars the Results Show" mark the start of the competition on May 11.

The following Tuesday, two more school teams will be competing against each other. Viewers will then vote to determine the winner of the week. The winners of each week will battle once more against each other, with the final winner to be chosen by judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman, and Bruno Tonioli.

Meanwhile, five pairs - Erin Andrews and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Evan Lysacek and Anna Trebunskaya, Niecy Nash and Louis Van Amstel, Chad Ochocinco and Cheryl Burke, and Nicole Scherzinger and Derek Hough - are left to compete on Monday night, with each couple expected to perform two individual dances for the first time.

In the Latin round, each pair will perform a randomly chosen theme from an era in time. The band Gipsy Kings will also be performing their flamenco rendition of "You've Got a Friend in Me" from the Disney Pixar film "Toy Story" on Tuesday.
