"Jersey Shore" cast's Italian trip postponed

Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN Entertainment) - Looks like the guidos and guidettes of "Jersey Shore" would have to postpone their trip to their motherland. The MTV reality show cast's invasion of Italy has been delayed for a month amid contract dispute and serious resistance from Italian establishments.

According to RadarOnline.com, some nightclubs and hotels in Florence, Italy don't want cameras to film in their venues. And since most of the scenes in the series were shot in such establishments, it would be a problem for the show.

Producers are having trouble with having all the cast sign their contracts. Snooki, The Situation, JWoww and Pauly D reportedly refused to shoot more episodes until they are given more lucrative deals.

A production insider revealed to the website, "Several of the housemates haven't signed their contracts and until they do, the cast can't go to Italy."

"Producers are also having a really difficult time finding venues for the cast to party at too."

The cast was originally scheduled to leave on April 18, but with the contract problems, their trip would have to be postponed until May."

Italy is also said to be up in arms with the group's arrival since the cast "embody the worst stereotypes of Italians, multiplied by thousands and Americanized," according to a newspaper columnist, via RadarOnline.com.
