Alan Rickman Stops By Jimmy Kimmel's To Talk About New Movie

British actor Alan Rickman stopped by "Jimmy Kimmel Live" Wednesday night to talk about his upcoming movie "Nobel Son." Rickman plays lead character Eli Michaelson in the dark comedy crime thriller.

Celebrity News Service knows Rickman has a long and distinguished career, but also knows that younger fans know him as Severus Snape from the "Harry Potter" movies. "I love Snape in 'Harry Potter,'" a young fan told Celebrity News Service. "He is one of my favorite characters especially with his creepy black hair."

Rickman was sporting short silver-blonde hair on Kimmel (he wears a wig in the "Harry Potter" flicks) and said his new movie was "very funny, very serious, it's a bit of a ride." In the film Rickman plays a Nobel Prize winner -- who just happens to be a genius and a jerk -- and whose son is kidnapped and held for ransom.

"It's a bit of a stretch," Rickman said of the role, laughing.

Rickman did confess to Kimmel that he loves roller coasters and Kimmel said he couldn't imagine "our most beloved thespian" riding roller coasters. Being a Brit, Rickman joked that he rides them with his arms crossed over his chest instead of holding his hands stretched above his head.
