Conan O'Brien Giving First Post-"Tonight Show" Interview To "60 Minutes"

Conan O'Brien is granting his first post-"Tonight Show" interview to CBS news magazine "60 Minutes." As per his exit contract with NBC, the 47-year-old funnyman is free to do interviews after May 1.

On the Sunday show, reported by correspondent Steve Kroft, Coco will talk about his current stage tour but it will center on his decision to leave the late-night show on the peacock network to make room for Jay Leno's return.

And while he is still under contract restrictions not to criticize the network or Leno, O'Brien is expected to "flirt with the restrictions," Kroft told New York Times, which first reported the interview.

He is, however, free to talk about his new late-night show on TBS.

And because O'Brien is not allowed to appear on TV before May 1, CBS cannot promote the show on-air this week.

Kroft said, "I think we'll just show me talking to him and have to blank his face out."

O'Brien is currently on his "The Legally Prohibited From Being Funny on Television" tour.
