Dave Grohl and company won't have to fight for exposure in the music world with their latest TV appearance.

Alternative rock band Foo Fighters will be featured on an upcoming episode of "VH1 Storytellers." Recorded on October 28 at Culver City's Sony Pictures Studio, the group's performance is a retrospective of their greatest hits in addition to the release of new material.

Like other entries of the "Storytellers" series, the episode devoted to the Foo Fighters will give insight into the band's creative process. Additionally, band members will share their individual musical motivations and their own stories from being involved in the group.

Nirvana drummer Grohl founded the group in 1994 as the guitarist and lead vocalist, while showcasing his talents on a wide variety of instruments. The group's self-titled debut album - recorded almost exclusively by Grohl prior to the band's official formation - opened the door for five more studio albums and a plethora of music awards received throughout their career.

The "Storytellers" episode's airing - 11 p.m. ET/PT on November 27 - ties in with the release of the group's latest album. "Foo Fighters: Greatest Hits" is the first compilation recording of the band's career. Among the songs included on "Greatest Hits" are "Everlong," "Learn to Fly," "My Hero," and "Monkey Wrench," encompassed from recordings such as "The Colour and the Shape," "There Is Nothing Left to Lose" and 2007's "Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace," the group's most recent release. Along with these old favorites are the previously unreleased "Word Forward" and an acoustic version of "Everlong." Also on the CD is the single "Wheels," which the group will perform as part of the "Storytellers" episode.

Scheduled for release on November 3, "Foo Fighters: Greatest Hits" retails for $11.98 for the single disc album and $17.98 for the deluxe edition, which includes a DVD of the group's performances.
