April 27, 2011 07:26 am CDT

New York, NY, United States (AHN Entertainment) - Keith Olbermann will be returning to the airwaves with a new show. The political commentator/broadcaster's new program will still be called "Countdown with Keith Olbermann," but will be aired on a new network, Current TV, this June.

Olbermann departed MSNBC in January, a couple of months after he returned on air from his suspension for donating to political candidates. He announced that he would be joining Current in February.

In addition to hosting and exec producing his show, he was also appointed as Chief News Officer for the Al Gore/Joel Hyatt public affairs channel.

Hyatt said, "'Countdown with Keith Olbermann' will showcase the return to television of one of America's most gifted thinkers and communicators. Keith will be back, speaking truth to power and calling them as he sees them - but this time, on America's only independent news and information TV network."

"Countdown with Keith Olbermann" will premiere on Current TV on June 20 at 8 p.m. ET.
