ABC, like NBC before it, is expanding its comedy line-up in 2011. New comedies starring "Friends" alum Matthew Perry and Elisa Cuthbert are set to premiere next year.

Perry makes his return to half-hour comedy for the first time since "Friends" with "Mr. Sunshine," where he stars as a sports arena manager. Allison Janney, with whom he co-starred on a few episodes of "The West Wing," also stars as his erratic but all-powerful boss.

"Mr. Sunshine," from the producers of shows like "Family Guy," "Rules of Engagement," and "Sports Night," premieres February 9th at 9:30pm ET. The show also stars Andrea Anders, James Leasure, and Nate Torrence.

Elisa Cuthbert makes her own return to television for the first time since her multi-episode arc on the short-lived "The Forgotten" on "Happy Endings," which follows a couple who breaks up on their wedding day and their group of friends. The show also stars Zach Knighton, Damon Wayans, Jr., Casey Wilson, Adam Pally, and Eliza Coupe.

"Happy Endings," from the producers of "My Boys," "Community," and "How I Met Your Mother," premieres April 13th at 10pm, kicking off ABC's own Wednesday night comedy expansion.

Also returning April 13th to its 9:30pm time slot for the rest of its second season is the Courtney Cox-starrer "Cougar Town." Now airing at 10:30pm on Wednesday nights beginning in April is "Modern Family: Fan Favorites," featuring second-run episodes.
