Michelle Trachtenberg has come a long way from being Buffy's unreal little sister. The recurring "Gossip Girl" actress is reteaming with the show's bosses Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage for a new CW series.

The 25-year-old actress won't just smile pretty for the camera, though. She will also be producing the as-yet untitled project.

According to Deadline Hollywood, the show is based on her idea about a young criminology student with a gift for profiling and a dark past. Schwartz and Savage's Fake Empire co-produces with Warner Bros. TV and CBS TV Studios.

Her rep confirmed the news to eonline.com, "Trachtenberg has joined forces with producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage under their shingle Fake Empire for this one hour drama."

"They pitched Michelle's idea to Warner Bros. Studio, [which] bought the pitch right then and there, and immediately took it to the CW, [which] bought it in the room."

The show is expected to debut in the fall of 2011.
