MTV, Volkswagen announce partnership to premiere 21st Century Beetle in MTV Global Events

New York, NY, United States (AHN Entertainment) - Music channel MTV has formed a global partnership with automobile giant Volkswagen that establishes the car company as the presenting partner of the MTV World Stage. Their partnership will also support the global unveiling of the 21st Century Beetle in Shanghai, New York, and Berlin, and will be tied to exclusive parties and concerts in the international cities.

The MTV World Stage will be unveiled with a concert by the Grammy Award-winning supergroup The Black Eyed Peas at the legendary Terminal 5 in New York. They will perform hits from their latest album "The Beginning," including some tracks from their previous albums.

The concert, the highlight of the event, will be streamed live on the World Stage Hub at www.worldstage.mtv.com. It will also be broadcast on MTV channels globally starting April 22nd.

Meanwhile, in MTV World Stage Party Berlin, taking place at E-Werk, will be headlined by 2manydjs, a Belgian duo who will perform a DJ set.

Special editions of "Pimp My Ride," "Made," and "Road to World Stage" will air on MTV platforms internationally as well as part of the Viacom International Media Networks and Volkswagen partnership.
