NBC extends Steve Carrell's farewell episode of "The Office"

Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN Entertainment) - It's going to be hard to say goodbye to Steve Carell on "The Office" after seven seasons but NBC is making it easier on fans with a super-sized episode.

Carrell's final appearance as Michael Scott has been extended to a 50-minute episode. It'll air on April 28th at 9pm-9:50pm.

"Parks and Recreation" will follow with its own expanded episode, airing from 9:50pm-10:30pm. "30 Rock" follows at 10:30pm.

NBC has also tried to ease the pain by introducing Will Ferrell as a possible replacement for Scott in a four-episode arc that starts April 14th with the new episode "Training Day."

NBC has also announced some more guest stars for the rest of the show's seventh season, including "Everybody Loves Raymond" star Ray Ramono and "30 Rock" star Will Arnett.
