Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN Entertainment) - NBC has announced its 2011-2012 primetime schedule. While "30 Rock" has been given a renewal for its sixth season, fans will have to wait longer for the return of its other shows. The Tina Fey-starring comedy won't be back until the mid-season.

Instead, NBC's Thursday night returns as a regular two-hour comedy block, featuring the returns of "Community," "Parks and Recreation," and the first season of "The Office" sans Steve Carrell. ("Parks and Recreation" was held off until the mid-season last year.)

The Thursday night comedy line-up will also include the new show "Whitney," a starring vehicle for hot comedian and frequent "Chelsea Lately" roundtable guest Whitney Cummings. She'll take over the 9:30 p.m. slot.

Speaking of Chelsea, her "Are You There, Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea" series, starring Laura Prepon and Jo Koy, will be joining the schedule at some point in the midseason as well.

"30 Rock" isn't the only show NBC is holding off until the midseason. It's current hit "The Voice," starring Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton, won't debut until later in the season, following a run of the acapella competition "The Sing Off."

"The Voice" will also lead in a new mid-season drama, the Steven Spielberg-produced "Smash," which stars Debra Messing and Christian Borle as a songwriting duo and Katharine McPhee as a Midwestern beauty who heads to the big Apple to pursue her Broadway dreams.
