Nickelodeon Starts Production On New Original TV Movie Starting iCarly's Jerry Trainor and Jennette McCurdy

The new Nickelodeon original TV movie entitled "Best Player" is due to start shooting on October 24th in Vancouver for a 2010 premiere. The movie is set to star Jerry Trainor and Jennette McCurdy who are from the hit show "iCarly".

The movie is set around two cyber athletes who learn that the real world can be just as amazing and the virtual one they compete in. In the movie, Quincy (Jerry Trainor) is a baggage handler for his day job, but come night fall he is an online video game master simply known as "Q". Quincy lives with his parents in their basement that he has transformed in to his cyber heaven.

His perfect world is ripped apart when his parents decide to move and need to find the money to buy his parents house so he can keep his fully equipped lair. This leads him to enter a tournament to win the money, but as he meets his opponent Prodigy (Jennetter McCurdy) he realizes that winning might not be that easy.

"Best Player is a funny and compelling story about online gaming taken to the extreme," said Marjorie Cohn, Executive Vice president, Original Programming and Development, Nickelodeon. "This movie gives Jerry Trainor and Jennette McCurdy a new platform in which to showcase their talent and our audience will love seeing them star in these new comedic roles."
