LA, CA, United States (AHN Entertainment) - Oprah may have retired from her own show, but she is giving viewers plenty of new shows on OWN. The latest series, "Don't Tell the Bride," is based on a hit show in the U.K. In the series, eight couples with tight finances will be given a budget to make their ideal weddings. Things get tricky, though, when brides and grooms find out that they must not see each other for a month before the wedding. And just when the couples thought things couldn't get any more complicated, they learn that all of the wedding plans must be left to the groom and his best man. The bride will feel more like a guest when she first sees the wedding invitations when one is mailed to her. While most brides spend months trying on dresses and getting alterations, these brides will try on their dresses the day of the wedding. And what about the food and venue? That too is left in the hands of the husband-to-be. The bride will see the venue and meal when all of the guests arrive with her. What could be the greatest test of their relationships will certainly make for great television on "Don't Tell the Bride." Drama and complications are sure to ensue, but in the end, these couples may actually get the weddings of their dreams. |
