Update: Rihanna Identified As Victim In Chris Brown Assault Arrest |

The LAPD arrested R&B singer Chris Brown yesterday, causing him to miss the Grammys. TMZ.com and RadarOnline.com confirmed that Brown was arrested for physically assaulting his girlfriend, singer Rihanna, who also missed the Grammys because of the incident. The LAPD released a statement that said 19-year-old Brown and a woman were in a vehicle in the Hancock Park neighborhood early Sunday when they began arguing. The argument escalated when both got out of their car. The LAPD said they would not release the accuser/victim's name. However, according to RadarOnline.com, an eyewitness in the hospital identified Rihanna and told reporters she was crying. According to the LAPD, Brown posted $150,000 bail and was released. The 20-year-old Rihanna was treated at Cedars Sinai Medical Center for "contusions and bite marks." She was supposed to perform at the Grammys early in the show. |
