Vin Diesel says he wants to "hug" people, not knock them out

Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN Entertainment) - Since he's gotten older, Vin Diesel, who's best known for his action-packed films, says he just wants to "hug" people.

Speaking in the new issue of the British edition of Men's Health magazine, the 43-year-old actor said he has mellowed with age and insists he is only interested in getting along with people.

"With age, you get to a place where you don't want to knock people out. You just want to give people a hug."

The "Fast & Furious" star, whose real name is Mark Sinclair Vincent, insisted his tough guy image is just something he has cultivated to protect the more gentle side of his personality.

"My mom used to say that I became a fighter and a scrapper and a tough guy to protect who I am at my core. This exterior means that I am actually one of the few people who can show love without coming across as soft."

Just as he is comfortable with the softer side of his nature, the actor, who has three-year-old daughter Hania Riley with girlfriend, model Paloma Jimenez, said he believes that a positive attitude can help make your life better.

"I'm not saying you have to view the world through rose-tinted glasses, but there's a way of living life that involves positive energy."
