When the Boundaries between Desire, Reality and Hypnotic Suggestion Blur

Rosario Dawson and Danny Boyle have called it quits on their unlikely relationship.

The scintillatingly sexy Rosario Dawson, who had her breakout role in Sin City, ended the relationship with the Slumdog Millionaire Director.

The relationship began when Boyle, 56, cast Rosario Dawson, 33, in his film Trance (2013).

The Telegraph describes the film Trance as ’exploring when the boundaries between desire, reality and hypnotic suggestion begin to blur.’

Perhaps, that is exactly what Dawson and Boyle’s relationship was exploring.

The Telegraph reports the following key bit:

“In an interview published on Saturday, Boyle insisted that his romance with Dawson did not begin until after they had finished shooting Trance last year,” states Boyle.

“It would have been very awkward if it had been otherwise.” – And then he declined to discuss the relationship, or its deterioration any further.

“It’s all over,” states one of Boyle’s friends. “It’s very sad, but they always were an unlikely couple, in many ways.”

Dawson’s heritage is Puerto Rican and Afro-Cuban. Boyle is Irish. Though, they both were not born into wealth or privilege. Dawson was born into the New York City tenements, and both her and Boyle’s fathers were blue-collar laborers.

TVNZ reports an insider stated the following:

"She's not your typical selfish Hollywood actress. She grew up in a New York squat and Danny's dad was a laborer. Politically, they are on the same page and I guess it doesn't hurt that Danny thinks Rosario is very sexy."

Rosario works with a dozen humanitarian organizations, and even started her own -Voto Latino.

Voto Latino is dedicated to bringing new and diverse voices into the political process by engaging youth, media, technology and celebrities to promote positive change. Visit votolatino.org to read more.

Boyle is an Oscar-winner, and recently created and directed the London Olympics opening ceremony. He is a genius, very private, and a little strange. Boyle even turned down a knighthood from the Queen!

“I believe in being an equal citizen rather than a preferred subject,” was the reason he gave the press.

Rosario is now working on a follow-up project to Sin City titled A Dame to Kill For.

This sequel is again being directed by Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez, and will add Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Ray Liotta to the stellar returning cast from the original Sin City. It will be released next October.

Boyle’s Trance will be released at the end of this month in the UK.
