Wright Speaks About Ocean Coming Out

Chely Wright, the very first country singer who came out of her closet and announced she was a lesbian in 2010 was moved by Frank Ocean's coming out this Independence Day.

She even said that it was such a spectacular way of celebrating 4th of July. However, she added that even though this may be a freeing thing to do, it may damage his career in the long run.

She is actually speaking from experience because since her coming out, her record sales have dropped to 1/3 of what she used to get. She also noted that there are venues that would not exactly not want her into for fear that fans will not attend her performance.

Nonetheless, what Ocean did was great! This will surely pave the way for other artists to finally be true to their selves.
