Zac Hanson, of the musical group Hanson, is a daddy. Zac and his wife Kate welcomed a new son into the world on Tuesday in Tulsa.
The baby, named John Ira Shepherd Hanson, weighed in at 8 lbs, 4 oz and will go by the name Shepherd. Zac, 22, told People.com, "There is not an audience or concert that could ever stand up to the feeling of meeting your baby for the first time."
New mom Kate, 24, is just as happy and said, "Shepherd is the most wonderful gift we could ever receive. We're already enjoying every second of this great adventure."
Shepherd will have lots of playmates, including cousins Ezra, 5, Penelope, 3, and River, 20 months, the children of middle Hanson brother Taylor and his wife Natalie, and Everett, 1, son of eldest Hanson brother Isaac, and his wife Nikki.
In November, Zac told People.com, "It will be really fun to see [the] little ones grow up together. I know watching them is going to inspire a lot of music."
