In the space of four years between 2003 and 2006, he has directed four masterful movies: Mystic River, Million Dollar Baby, Flags of Our Fathers, and Letters from Iwo Jima. No director of any age is working at a higher level of quality.

Well, the streak of fine, forceful films continues: make it five in a row. Changeling is another powerhouse.
